I’m not much for the old fashioned samurai period as far as anime goes, that is because i love anime when unsuspecting people get powers from an accident or some form of suit or the infamous mechs. Usually the samurai animes’ are slow and boring and by the end of an episode my eyes hurt from the excessive reading.  That statement above is what i would use to say about those kinds of anime until I just recently finished veiwing Shigurui: Death Frenzy.  At first i was like”man here we go again”, but after 2 episodes i was freaking hooked. there is so much violence and gore and blood that after watching 3 or 4 eps of that, you have to give urself a break.  The whole anime in a nut shell goes like this, there is an one armed- samurai and a blind a crippled samurai that is about to duel in front of some pretty important people. and as they get into their weird ass stances, the anime stops and goes back a couple of years to show how they became who they are and why they are fighting in the first place, comes to find out that these two have a very deep past, and I guess this was the only opportunity to settle it. This anime is great to the bone, but it has one fatal flaw,,, it is only 12 episodes. so if u want to watch it for the killing and the fighting i suggest u do, but if you don’t want to be tortured by not knowing then don’t ..
